Requirement: MES Developer
Experience: 4 + Years
Location: Chennai, Pune, Hyd, Mysore.
Key Responsibilities:
Design end-to-end MES architecture across application, data, and infrastructure layers.
Develop scalable and standardized MES solution frameworks, templates, and reusable components.
Translate manufacturing business requirements into MES functional and technical specifications.
Oversee MES implementation, configuration, and customization activities.
Define integration approaches between MES and ERP (SAP/Oracle), SCADA, PLCs, Historians, and IIoT platforms.
Conduct architectural reviews to ensure solution compliance with enterprise standards.
Support manufacturing workflows such as order execution, traceability, quality management, and production reporting.
Document system architecture, design decisions, configuration baselines, and integration maps.
Collaborate with OT/IT, production, quality, supply chain, and automation teams.
Provide Level-3 technical support for MES application issues and performance challenges.
Drive continuous improvement, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives (Industry 4.0, Cloud MES).
Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with leading MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Ignition, Apriso, etc.).
Deep understanding of MES modules: dispatching, work instructions, EBR, traceability, quality management, SPC, scheduling.
Expertise in system integration using APIs, OPC/UA, web services, message queues, and automation protocols.
Strong understanding of interfacing MES with ERP, SCADA/DCS, PLCs, and data historians.
Proficiency in databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and writing complex queries.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes across discrete or batch industries.
Ability to create high-level and detailed technical architecture diagrams.
Experience with scripting languages (SQL, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and IIoT edge gateways.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to lead technical discussions.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
