PLC Programming Lead - Allen Bradley, Siemens & OPERA Platform - Hyderabad
Role Summary
The PLC Programming Lead will lead the design, development, testing, and commissioning of industrial automation solutions. The role demands strong hands-on expertise in Allen Bradley, Siemens, and OPERA platform, along with the ability to guide teams, ensure quality delivery, and meet project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
•
Lead PLC and HMI/SCADA software development using Allen Bradley, Siemens, and OPERA platform
•
Define control system architecture, standards, and best practices
•
Review and approve PLC logic, HMI screens, alarms, and documentation
•
Lead FAT, SAT, and onsite/remote commissioning activities
•
Troubleshoot complex automation issues and support production ramp-up
•
Mentor engineers, plan work allocation, and track execution progress
•
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients
•
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and project compliance requirements
Key Skills
•
Strong hands-on programming experience in:
o
Allen Bradley (RSLogix / Studio 5000)
o
Siemens (TIA Portal / Step 7)
o
OPERA automation platform
•
Industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Profibus)
•
HMI/SCADA integration, alarms, trends, and reporting
•
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills
Qualifications & Experience
•
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering
•
8+ years of PLC programming experience with 2+ years in a lead role
•
Experience in FMCG, Pharma, Packaging, or Process industries preferred
•
Onsite commissioning experience is an added advantage
